- LIFE FOR GRANDSON MRS. VICTORIA BOHLINGER SIATf HAVE OVEN IT. STREET CAR WAS FAST RUSHING ON THE PAIR. She Pushed the Boy Away and Was Severely Injured Herself. In attempting to cross the street at Forest avenue and Rivard street, shortly after 8 o'clock last evening, Mrs. Victoria Bohlinger, aged 72 years, living at 155 Illinois street, was struck by a Crosstown car and sustained injuries that will probably cause her death. Mrs. Bohlinger was accompanied by her 9-year-old grandson, Eddie Bohlinger. When the aged woman realized that the car was upon them, she pushed the boy clear of the track at the, risk of her own lite. The car struck her, knocking her to the pavement, and the boy escaped without a scratch. Mrs. Bohlinger was picked up unconscious, and Harper hospital ambulance was called. At that institution, it was found that she had sustained a fracture of the right ankle, a compound fracture of the left arm, a simple fracture of the right arm, a broken finger and a badly contused head. At a late hour, she was still unconscious and because of her advanced age, it is feared she will not recover. She has five daughters and two sons, all grown up. They were notified of the accident and hurried to her bedside.
