- H. Meldrum of Marenisco Dies
Herbert Meldrum, 69, resident of Marenisco for the past 27 years, died at his home yesterday morning at 10:30 o'clock after an illness of several years.
Born in Chicago on July 29, 1876, he came to Marenisco in 1919, and until 12 years ago he was employed at the mill by the Bonifas Lumber company.
Surviving him are his widow, of Marenisco, and one son, Virgil Meldrum, of Chicago.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Presbyterian Church in Marenisco, Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with the Rev. C. L. Harries, officiating. The remains will be placed in the receiving vault at Ironwood, Riverside Cemetery.
The body is at the C. W. Moore Funeral home which will be open this evening. It will be transferred to the Presbyterian Church at Marenisco tomorrow at noon.

Marenisco -- Funeral services for Herbert Meldrum were held Sunday, the Rev. C. L. Harries officiating. Pallbearers were Harold Ormes, George Mall, Archie Taylor, Archie Pratt, James Starkweather and Jack Dimke. Out of town friends and relatives in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Meldrum, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Vern Bowers, Ontonagon; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Zimmel, Gladstone; Mr. and Mrs. Sidbeck, Escanaba, and Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Young, Iron Mountain.
