GLADSTONE PIONEER DIES IN THE NIGHT
Charles Zimmel Found Dead by His Wife Yesterday Morning
Charles Zimmel, a pioneer resident of Gladstone, was found dead at his home in that city at eleven o'clock yesterday morning. Mr. Zimmel retired Thursday evening apparently in his usual health. When he failed to arise at the usual hour next morning Mrs. Zimmel endeavored to arouse him and found him dead. The deceased was eighty-three years of age and had lived in Gladstone since 1888. His wife and several sons and daughters survive.
Birth and Death years inscribed on tombstone are incorrect. Death certificate lists 3 Oct 1830 and 26 Sep 1913 as birth and death dates.
