Mrs. E. Sidbeck Dies Yesterday
Mrs. Elmer Sidbeck, 505 N. 16th St., Gladstone died Wednesday at 7:25 p.m. at St. Francis Hospital where she had bee a patient for the past 7 weeks. She had been in ill health for five years.
The former Margaret Zimmel, she was born in Gladstone on Feb. 27, 1908. She attended All Saints School.
Surviving besides her husband are one daughter, Mrs. Clarence (Dorothy) Couillard of Escanaba, two sons. Richard Johnson. Seneca Falls, N. Y., Paul Sidbeck at home and 7 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Alfred (Irene) Rabitoy. Mrs. Tony (Dorothy) Gregory, Mrs. Percy (Bernice) Reno, Gladstone and Mrs. Nick (Ida) Tennes of Garden; one brother, Ira of Gladstone.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. on Friday and parish prayers will be recited at 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 9 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Church in Gladstone. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Elizabeth Bartlein, 72, died at 2:45 Sunday morning at her home, route 1, Menasha, after being in poor health for a number of years. She was born May 4, 1863, in the town of Harrison and lived on a farm on the Manitowoc road until 1905 and on a farm now occupied by a son Lester in Calumet county until 1926. Mr. and Mrs. Bartlein retired in 1926, moving to the town of Menasha on Manitowoc road. She was a member of the St. Anne society of St. Mary's parish, Menasha.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. H. J. C. Rosenow, Menasha; two sons, Leon and Lester, route 1, Menasha; two brothers, John Huelsbeck, Appleton, and William Huelsbeck, Cantonment, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Schlegel, St. Elizabeth hospital, Appleton, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary's Catholic church, Menasha. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. John Hummel will conduct the services. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock tonight and Tuesday night and at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Laemmrich Funeral home, Menasha.

Mrs. Ethel G Maxwell
Mrs. Ethel G. Maxwell, 85 of 411 Main street,
Phillo died at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday ( May 24,) in Good Samaritan Hospital, She had been in ill heath the past two years and seriously ill three weeks.
She was born April 12, 1881, in Brush Creek Township a daughter of the late Albert and Alice dozer Pletcher. She spent most of her married life in Cannelville and moved to Philo in 1940.
Mrs. Maxwell was a member of Grace Methodist Church in Philo and the Friendly Sunday School Class.
Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Kenneth (Esther) Anders, with who she lived; one sister Mrs. Wilda Canole of Detroit.; two grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Clyde E Thompson Funeral Home in Duncan Falls with Rev. Clarence Gosnell officiating. Burial will be in Duncan Falls Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. John Huelsbeck, 80, died in Appleton Monday night after a 2-month illness. She was born in the town of Harrison, Dec. 29, 1878.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic church with burial in St. Mary cemetery, Menasha. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral home from 7 p.m. Wednesday until time of the service. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
She is survived by the widower, a daughter, Mrs. Henry Williamson, Appleon, two sons, Earl, Menasha, and Hubert, Appleton; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mathias Diedrich, age 75 for many years a resident of the Tony vicinity, died at the home of her son, Arnold in Chippewa Falls, Friday. Deceased suffered a paralytic stroke in April and was in poor health from that date to the time of her death. Mathilda Wiedenhoft was born at Reedsville, Feb. 18th 1866 and in Sept. 1888 was married to Mathias Diedrich. They made their home at De Pere until 1903 when they moved to a farm north of Tony. Survivors include the husband, four sons, Arnold of Chippewa Falls, Arthur of Ladysmith, Alfred of Tony, and Ralph of Milwaukee; two sisters Mrs. Mary Thiele and Mrs. Lena Pautz of West De Pere and eight grandchildren. Mrs. Paul Zimmel Dies On Sunday Mrs Paul (Lucy) Zimmel, 74, ol 740 N. 15th St., Gladstone, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday in St Francis Hospital where she had been a patient for 7 weeks. She was married in Gladstone July 26, 1905 and her husband died Oct. 26, 1962 She was a member of All Saints Parish, the Ladies Guild, and the Lady Foresters. She was president of the Delta Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the Lady Macabees. Among survivors are one son, Ira, of Gladstone: 5 daughters, Mrs Nick (Ida) Thennes of Garden. Mrs. Elmer (Marguerite) Sidbeck. Mrs. Tony (Dorothy) Gregory, Mrs. Alfred (Irene) Rabitov, and Mrs. Percy (Bernice) Reno, all of Gladstone. 18 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three brothers. Walter and Israel Balanger of Gladstone and Adelore of New Berlin, N.Y., and two sisters, Mrs. Harold Clements of Niagara. Mrs. Thomas Bartlein, 84, died at her home in Wabeno Wednesday morning and will be brought to Shawano Saturday morning for burial in the Sacred Heart cemetery. She was the mother of Mrs. Charles Boyle and Frank Bartlein of Shawano.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 Saturday morning at Wabeno and the body will be brought here about 11 o'clock.
Mrs Bartlein was born in Germany and came to Appleton with her parents at the age of 16. She was married to Thomas Bartlein in Shawano County and they settled in Mattoon. Later they operated a Hotel at Pella, a hardware store at Aniwa, and lived in Clintonville, finally moving to Mattoon, where they have resided for some time.
Survivors include Mr. Bartlein who is 83 years old and seven living children. A boy, Thomas, died during the World War. Others are Mrs. Boyle, Frank Bartlein, Mrs Mary Kruger of Oshkosh, Mrs. Peter Bateson of Los Angeles, Mrs Antone Huettel of Wabeno, Mrs Robert Forest of Tipler, Wm. Bartline of Wabeno.

Mrs. William Huelsbeck, 68, died Tuesday morning at her home in Cottage Hill, Fla., according to reports here today. She was born in town of Harrison, Feb. 2, 1863, and moved to Florida nine years ago.
Survivors are her husband; seven sons, Allie, Walter, and Arthur, all of Menasha, George, Joseph, and Harry, all of Cottage Hill, Fla. and William Jr., Los Angeles, Cal.; four daughters, Mrs. Frank Fritsch, Route 1, Menasha, Mrs. Nick Grellinger and Miss Della Huelsbeck, both of Milwaukee, and Sister M. Hermina, Chicago; and 25 grandchildren.
